Graduate Medical Education Office
Overview
Northwest Healthcare is committed to the education and training of our future medical workforce. Our medical education office provides students and residents with helpful and supportive staff to assist with the full integration of our health system with both undergraduate medical education (UME) and graduate medical education (GME) services.
Accreditation Status
Northwest Healthcare has obtained Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation locally as well as through our national sponsor, Health Education Services for graduate medical education.
Affiliations
Northwest Healthcare has academic affiliations with Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University.
Additionally, we work closely with multiple local colleges and universities to provide allied health education on our hospital campuses. We offer extensive multi-disciplinary education opportunities for our students and trainees which allows them to learn alongside professionals in nursing, pharmacy, respiratory and other allied health specialties
