Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita Launches New Tele-Pulmonary Program
4/22/2022
Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita’s new tele-pulmonary program means that now, patients admitted to our hospital or receiving care in our emergency department can access specialized pulmonology care close to home.
We are partnering with SOC Telemed, the country’s leading telemedicine provider, in order to offer our community a higher level of board-certified pulmonary care – in addition to treatment for issues like asthma, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, sleep apnea, pneumonias, Valley fever and other lung-related illnesses.
Through this partnership, our healthcare providers can consult with an SOC Telemed board-certified pulmonary and critical care specialist within minutes via secure, dependable technology. This way, we do not have to transfer patients to other hospitals.
“We are proud to enhance our pulmonology services with the power of telemedicine,” said Brett Lee, FACHE, Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita’s chief administrative officer. “This new program will advance our mission to provide high-quality patient care so our neighbors can breathe easier and live healthier lives.”
