Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary

TUCSON, AZ – Nov. 17, 2025 — Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita celebrated its fifth anniversary on Tue., Nov. 11. The hospital opened its doors in November 2020, and has provided safe, quality care for Sahuarita and its surrounding communities ever since.

“Our work to grow the services we provide is ongoing, as we continuously improve our safety and quality while we support access to healthcare for the communities we serve,” said Cari Olvera, MSN, R.N., the hospital’s chief administrative officer. “Every day, as we provide care to our most vulnerable residents and collaborate with local organizations, we are proud to make an impact on local health, well-being, and quality of life.”

Last year, over the course of 91,000 patient encounters in our hospital, we delivered over $13.6 million in uncompensated/charity care to those in need – including emergency and provider visits as well as access to medications and medical support devices. In addition, we served our community through various partnerships with the Town of Sahuarita, the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce, and the Sahuarita Unified School District Educational Enrichment Foundation, among others.
