Tedd Goldfinger, D.O., Recognized for Cardiovascular Work

Tucson, AZ (January 2, 2019)— Tedd Goldfinger, D.O., a Tucson cardiologist and founder of Desert Cardiology of Tucson, has received the title of Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). He is one of only two Tucson-area physicians to receive this distinction. The “FESC” is a title of honor awarded to individuals, mostly European physicians, who have distinguished themselves in a cardiovascular field.
In addition to his practice at Desert Cardiology of Tucson and Northwest Medical Center for more than three decades, Dr. Goldfinger, has been recognized as an authority on cardiovascular disease and alcohol, having worked with Professor Serge Renaud, PhD (Bordeaux, France), father of the “French Paradox”, and other European centers researching the effects of alcohol on blood vessel physiology. Dr. Goldfinger is the co-author of a book on wine, health and diet, and numerous scientific publications. He also chairs an international think tank on wine and health, the International Wine & Heart Health Research Initiative.
