Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
Our team specializes in caring for people with congestive heart failure, stents, heart attacks, coronary bypass surgery, pacemakers, valve replacements and other cardiac events. Our nurses and physicians will monitor cardiac labs and vital signs, adjusting treatment plans when indicated. The therapists will provide individual assessments to design a cardiac rehabilitation program specific to each person. The interdisciplinary team will teach patients and families how to manage these conditions optimally.
The rehabilitation team also has experience managing patients with a history of new diagnosis of COPD, pneumonia, recent COVID and respiratory failure. Our nurses and physician will monitor oxygen levels and adjust treatment accordingly. Physical and occupational therapists will help improve endurance, teach breathing techniques and improve strength to support self care and mobility at home. Social work and case management will assist with setting up any needed equipment at home, including ongoing oxygen needs.
